We cannot possibly achieve our goal to provide free veterinary care to wildlife and their rescuers, carers and shelters without a little (ok, a lot!) of help from our friends and supporters. We are frequently in need of items to keep the clinic and storeroom stocked.
You can purchase and donate an item to send to us (email us for the details) or donate funds for us to purchase it.

Thank you for loving kangaroos!
Nikki and the El-roosÂ
HERE IS A WISH LIST OF THE ITEMS WE CURRENTLY NEED.Â
Softban is used under harsher bandages to avoid pressure sores and helps absorb moisture. We used a copious amount and still are due to the burns patients in care. This is used for every type of wound.Â
The sizes we require are the 5cm and 7.5cm at $3.99 and $4.50 per roll. Click HERE or click image for where to buy link
NATURAL RAW ALMONDS
Natural raw unsalted almonds. The kangaroos love their almonds and these are a real treat for them. They are also good to hollow out to slip tablets into!
$12.40Â – $14.40 per kg HEREÂ or from your preferred place of purchase if you would like to send us a smaller quantity.
ROCK TAPE 5M X 5CM
We need this for the clinic. It will help in so many ways, including not needing to replace bandaging as often in wet weather which can be distressing for patients.
$25 per roll. Click HERE or click image for where to buy link.
JELONET BANDAGES
Jelonet is a wonderful bandage for severe open wounds and burns. It can be placed directly onto the wound/s and it doesn’t stick.
It is excellent for fence hangers too which is where we use it most.
Wounds need to be dressed every 3-5 days for weeks on end so we go through quite a bit. We use it because it causes the least amount of discomfort on the beautiful kangaroo people.
This is used to complete a deep clean on the huts once patients have returned home. Floors are removed and panels individually scrubbed down. This agent is Australian made and owned, plant based, vegan and devoid of chemicals. Perfect for our huts that house precious patientsÂ
The Magnum Net is a standard piece of equipment used by rescuers to catch joeys. Some because they are injured yet somewhat mobile and other times stick close because mum is injured. I have had this scenario play out during the dinner and breakfast buffet over the years and wish I had this net. Darting someone so little is fraught with danger. I have wished for this item over the years when the junior wildlings arrive for help.
When the power goes out which happens from time to time living regionally the need for an emergency and silent power source is crucial. A petrol generator is noisy and costly whereas a solar powered one is cost effective and keeps power running to necessities, like our ICU huts and / or our vet clinic. Something small, lightweight and portable would be a huge asset to the shelter and will ensure our patients are not impacted by power outages
Supplement feed and hay is very popular year round. Our kangaroo family, both free and in care, come “home” for shelter and a snack. No one ever goes hungry here thanks to our donors xx
